Entry: update Jun 4, 2004

Ok all,
This will be very short.  My schedule has changed and I will not be able to update until Tuesday afternoon.  I have been sick, but am feeling fine now.  Going shopping this weekend.  Joe - brace yourself.

Talk to you all next week.  Keep up the postings!
Love, Amy

Amy, I wish I could send Matthew down to spend some time with you in Quito. I saw his apartment in San Francisco and thought it was really quite nice, ocean view and all. Then I got a look at the anti Bush propaganda throughout the place and realized he was in a hotbed of democratic liberalism. I pointed out that he was a 20% heir of whatever estate we have and if he wants it to go to the government I would just go ahead and split his share up among his siblings and just like a demo he said he thought that kind of talk was pretty gross! Loving him with my whole heart may not be enough----pray for him.
I haven't felt very good for a couple of days and Mom is just now getting back on her feet from being a little sick and verytired. I don't know if we would be much help to Joe if we were at the Ponderosa but wwe sure are happy to offer suggestions. Frankly, I think the rustic suggestions being made sound pretty good. I have a lot of faith that he will pull it all together just right!
Hope to get to talk to you within the next week or so.

Joe, I have an old door with a window in the upper half it would make a nice snack bar with partial glass top.

It is so great to be able to read about what an experience this has been for you. If only I Had the same privaleges in Utah... or even Montana... you all could have known the reasons I was sent home early in it's truest form! Seriously though... I am very proud of you Amy and am so pleased to see you chasing your dream down. For being someone in a smiliar position, I can truly appreciate all you sacrificed to be where you are right now. Keep up the good work and I will be sure to drop a line now and again.. Looking forward to seeing you in Aug!!!

they use US curency and I am just glad we can help the economy down there but we have had to take the kitchen cabnets out of the budget now and replace them with saw horses and some left over 2 X 12 but I think it will add to the rustic look of the house

Don't worry Joe, I am sure the value of the US Dollar is substantially higher than the local currency - More for Less!!!
